Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Email address, when you subscribe to the Field Report or submit a verification.
• Verification submissions: the venue, equipment used, measurements, written Arrival, and an optional name or handle (you may submit anonymously).
• Account information, if you create a member account: email, display name, and access-need preferences you choose to save.
• Basic analytics: aggregated, non-identifying usage data (pages viewed, referrers) to understand which standards travelers rely on.

We do not collect biometric data. We do not ask for, store, or sell medical records.

What we do with it

• Publish your verification (with the name or handle you chose, or anonymously) so other travelers benefit from it.
• Send you the Field Report and corrections-and-additions notices if you've subscribed. You can unsubscribe in one click.
• Respond to corrections, claims, and accessibility-issue reports.
• Improve the standard itself: which measurements travelers cite most, which venues need re-verification, what we're missing.

What we never do

• We do not sell your email address. Ever.
• We do not sell, rent, or share individual verification submissions tied to your identity.
• We do not let venues pay to change, hide, or soften a verification.
• We do not track you across other websites for ad targeting.

Aggregated, anonymized data

We may license aggregated, anonymized access data to researchers, civic groups, transit authorities, and tourism boards — parties that are not themselves being rated. Aggregated means stripped of identifiers and grouped at the city or category level (e.g., "47% of Orlando hotels measured fail at the bathroom door"). Your rights

• Access, correct, or delete any verification you submitted under an identifiable name.
• Export your account data.
• Close your account. Anonymous verifications remain published for the community; identified ones can be re-attributed to "Anonymous" on request.

Cookies

We use a small number of first-party cookies for sign-in sessions and to remember your access-need filters. We use a single privacy-respecting analytics provider that does not set cross-site tracking cookies. We do not run ad-tech pixels.

Third parties we use

• Email delivery for the Field Report and account email.
• Map tiles served by OpenStreetMap contributors.
• Payment processing for memberships and badge licensing (we never see your full card number).

Changes

We'll post material changes here and, for members and Field Report subscribers, send an email summary before they take effect.
